Our Story
A Shared Vision from Coach Andre Bailey and Sandrine Bailey
Spectrum Dive was founded by Coach Andre Bailey and Sandrine Bailey, RN, through a shared vision: creating a swim school where swimmers of every age, ability, and experience level are welcomed, supported, and given the opportunity to succeed.
As parents of a child on the autism spectrum, Andre and Sandrine understand firsthand both the joy and the unique challenges many families experience around water. Their personal journey inspired them to create a program that combines compassion, patience, safety, and expert instruction while also serving beginners, recreational swimmers, and experienced athletes.
Coach Andre Bailey has spent more than ten years coaching competitive swimmers in Broward County, helping athletes of all ages develop skill, discipline, confidence, and a lasting love for swimming.
Sandrine Bailey, RN, brings her nursing background and commitment to child health, safety, and individualized care. Her experience helps shape the compassionate, family-centered approach at the heart of Spectrum Dive.
By combining Andre’s coaching expertise with Sandrine’s healthcare experience—and their shared experience as parents—they created a program that respects each swimmer’s unique abilities, learning style, communication preferences, experience level, and individual goals.
Every lesson begins by understanding the swimmer beyond their current ability. Spectrum Dive takes time to assess comfort level, goals, technique, communication preferences, strengths, and areas for improvement before developing an individualized plan.
Meet Coach Andre
Coach Andre Bailey
Founder & Swim Coach — Spectrum Dive
Coach Andre Bailey brings nearly two decades of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for aquatics to Spectrum Dive. His swimming journey began in Jamaica with Y Speedos before continuing in Florida with Coral Springs Swim Club and eventually at the NCAA Division I level at Florida A&M University. After beginning his coaching career in the late 1990s, he went on to help establish TS Aquatics in 2016, where he serves as Head Coach and Owner.
Throughout his career, Coach Bailey has developed swimmers from beginner and age-group levels through high school, collegiate, national, and international competition. His athletes have competed at the CARIFTA Games, CCCAN Championships, World Junior and World Aquatics Championships, Junior Nationals, and Florida Gold Coast Championships, representing countries including Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, Venezuela, Honduras, Ecuador, Trinidad & Tobago, and The Bahamas.
That depth of competitive experience is combined with a coaching philosophy that recognizes that every swimmer learns differently. Through Spectrum Dive, founded in 2026, Coach Bailey is committed to creating greater opportunities for swimmers of all abilities—from individuals learning to swim and build essential water-safety skills to neurodivergent swimmers who benefit from patient, individualized instruction and experienced swimmers seeking performance and competitive refinement.
His approach is centered on meeting each swimmer where they are, building confidence, developing strong swimming skills, and celebrating meaningful progress. For Coach Bailey, swimming is about more than times and medals. It is an opportunity to develop discipline, education, character, confidence, and a belief in what each swimmer can achieve.
He is passionate about developing athletes, creating opportunities through swimming, and helping every swimmer write their own success story—both in and out of the pool. At Spectrum Dive, that means ensuring every swimmer has the opportunity to feel safe, confident, included, empowered, and supported in the water.
